Join this 15 days Ranikhet panoramic yoga and meditation journey, intended for those who wants to explore the typical local culture, Himalayas ranges, wildlife and nature around Ranikhet (Uttarakhand) while deepening your yoga, meditation and writing practice.
Himalaya gives you divine feeling and realize you the true meaning of Spiritualism. From ancient times, Himalaya has been the healing power at sacred places performing spiritual activities and connect yourself with his powers are main purpose of this retreat.
On this retreat Ranikhet will be the base centre for all days, you will have the chance to reset and get attuned on a mind-body-emotional level through a deep connection with nature in silent sometimes, or through meditation. The retreat is available for solo traveler, couples or groups.
This journey is a co creation from Come2himalaya and Jan Moeyaert. All locals visits and travels will be arranged by Rittu and Deepak two friends of Jan. Rittu and Deepak live in India, are full experienced trekkers and know the places and the history very good. That gives you the possibility to get to know India from inside out.
April 1 pick up from airport Dehradun and transfer to Rishikesh (transfer from Delhi can be arranged if you want, see further in the mail)
Arrival and transfer to Rishikesh and night stay Rishikesh
Day-1 – April 2
Start journey in Rishikesh. In evening enjoy the Sacred Ganga Arti at bank of Ganges and relax your soul.
Night stay- Hotel Holiday Home
Early morning Sunrise view from Kunjapuri temple and Vasistha cave visit. After that come together to see the local market of Rishikesh.
RISHIKESH TO RUDRAPRAYAG:
Enjoy the view of confluence point at Devprayag and visiting Temples at Devprayag.In evening visit to the confluence point and Koteshwar Mahadev Temple.
RUDRAPRAYAG TO RANIKHET:
Join the early morning yoga class and drive to Ranikhet. On the way One of the Panchbadri- Adi Badri
RANIKHET TO BINSAR MAHADEV:
Binsar Mahadev is 19 kms from Ranikhet. this place is surrounded by the dense forest out of the main road very peaceful Temple of lord Shiva followed by other Hindu Gods, it is a unique place for yoga and meditation.
RANIKHET TO HAIDA KHAN & JHULA DEVI TEMPLE:
Haidakhan Temple is 5km from Ranikhet. This Temple was made by Haidakhan who is believed to be incarnation of Lord Shiva to whom this temple is dedicated.
RANIKHET TO DUNAGIRI TEMPLE AND BABAJI CAVE:
Leave to Dunagiri temple which is located at a hilltop, surrounded by dense forest. According to mythology Hanuman Ji dropped some sanjivni Booti while carrying mountain to Lanka (Currently Shrilanka). From here 5km trek up to Pandukholi Temple (Pandavas Shelter). It is one of the place where Pandavas took shelter during ‘Agyatvas’ (Anonymous stay). Also, famous for naturally growing multicolored flowers.
RANIKHET TO KATARMAL SUN TEMPLE:
Katarmal Sun Temple is an altitude of 2116 meters above sea level. It was built in 9th century nearby Almora, has the Second important Sun Temple in India.
RANIIKHET TO SITLAKHET:
Leave for Sitlakhet and trek 3km to reach the famous “Syahi Devi temple”. Best place for meditation and writing in natural environment.
Leave for Shitlakhet –known as forest trek, Himalayan ranges and calm environment. Best place for meditation in natural environment.
RANIKHET TO JAGESHWAR TEMPLE:
After morning breakfast departure to Jageshwar Temple considered one of the Jyotirlingas, surrounded by Deodar forest. This temple consists of several small temples of which the is the Maha Mritunjaya Temple and the largest one is the Dandeshwara temple.
RANIKHET TO KASAR DEVI TEMPLE:
The place is great for the spiritual seekers. The area was visited by many famous personalities like- Swami Vivekananda, Sunyata Baba, Alfred Sorensen and Lama Anagarika Govinda, Bob Dylan, George Harrison and Cat Stevens, Western Buddhist Thurman, and writer D.H. Lawerence. This temple has been of special importance because the region around this temple has enormous geomagnetic field because this temple comes under Van Allen Belt. NASA also researched the formation of this magnetic field similar to Machu Picchu in Peru and Stone Hinge in England.
RANIKHET TO KAINCHI DHAM NAINITAL:
It’s a place who wants to experience silence (deep meditative awareness) and enjoy the running water of river. Mark Zuckerberg revealed that when his company was going through a tough patch, Steve Jobs advised him to visit this Temple where he experienced life-changing spiritual reflection.

Back to Rudraprayag and join the Aarti at confluence point.

Day 16 (April 17)
end of the journey and transfer to Airport Dehradun according to flight (transfer to Delhi can be arranged also, see further)
